Better understanding of human development and disease processes, through cutting-edge research and training, thereby decreasing the incidence of birth defects involving the human genetic complex through counselling and advocacy.
The objectives to the Society includes:
To promote understanding of the genetics, anatomy and biology of the HUMAN GENETICS and Genomics in the life sciences and in the practice of health delivery.
To promote teaching of HUMAN GENETICS in the life sciences. This includes an explicit evolutionary perspective enabling the informed use of animal models in the pursuit of knowledge and development of therapeutics.
To promote basic and clinical research efforts in HUMAN GENETICS.
To provide a forum for interdisciplinary communication among professionals interested in HUMAN GENETICS anomalies and normal development and function of HUMAN GENETICS .
To provide a focus for application of research results in HUMAN GENETICS to clinical care and management of patients with such problems.
